Amari Chanel Jones, 25, of Vian faces drug charges in Sequoyah County, a police report reveals.
Jones was charged July 9 with felony cultivation of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a misdemeanor.
According to the report, on July 8, officers arrested Selena Merlos. She asked officers to let her roommate, Jones, know she was being arrested and to please water the dogs.
As officers pulled up to her home, they reportedly saw five red Solo cups in the bedroom window. Upon closer inspection, the cups were found to contain marijuana plants, the report shows.
The residence where the arrest occurred is about 800 feet from Vian Public Schools, police said.
The cultivation charge carries a fine of up to $50,000 and imprisonment in the Department of Corrections for no more than 10 years.
The misdemeanor possession charge is punishable by up to a year in prison and a fine of up to $1,000.
