Gospel Event to Aid in Moffett’s Recovery

An upcoming gospel singing event in Sallisaw will provide aid and support to the town of Moffett, which is still recovering from May’s devastating flooding.

The event will be from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Sallisaw County Fairgrounds.

All churches and gospel singers are welcome. Admission is free. Donations are welcome. All proceeds will go toward the Moffett Flood Victims Fund.

There will be a concession stand and a pie and cake auction with Bud Smithson as auctioneer.

Musical instruments and the sound system will be provided. The event is open to individual singers, groups, quartets or choirs.

"This is a great opportunity to use your talents for a very worthy cause,"  stated Johnny McFall pastor of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Sallisaw.

To participate, call (918) 775-4070.
