ODOT has announced that US-59 North in Sallisaw, from the intersection of Wheeler and Cherokee, will be closed and detoured on Tuesday and Wednesday.
All lanes of north and southbound US-59 will be closed just north of the US-64 junction in Sallisaw from 7 a.m. Tuesday to 5 p.m. Wednesday for a rail maintenance project by the Union Pacific Railroad. A signed detour will be in place, and drivers should plan ahead for extra travel time around this work zone.
