Vian Getting New Love’s Country Store

Progress continues on a new Love's location in Vian.

The Town of Vian is soon going to be the home of a new Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store.

Vian Mayor Dennis Fletcher said Thursday that the new store will be a huge boon to the town. “It’s expected to increase our tax revenue by $25,000-$35,000 a month,” he said, adding that the store will create jobs for 25-30 people.

The store will be on the north side of Interstate 40, Fletcher said, and a soft opening is scheduled for Aug. 10, with a hard opening set for Aug. 16.

Caitlin Campbell, a Love’s media relations specialist, said the Vian store will be about 8,000 square feet and “it will offer a large convenience store, fast food and snack options, in addition to fresh coffee and fuel.”

Founded in Watonga in 1964, Love’s currently has more than 520 locations in 41 states and it employs more than 26,000 people.
