While the COVID-19 pandemic has altered our lives, one thing that has not changed is the fact that abused and neglected children still need Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). The area CASA organization recently welcomed 17 new volunteers to the CASA family. Their advocacy will have a profound effect on the lives of children and youth in our community.
Unfortunately too many children enter foster care every year. These new CASA volunteers are starting a journey that will help change the stories of the children they meet and in the process, their lives will be changed as well.
Have you ever wanted to know just what CASA is all about? Are you looking for ways to better yourself and your community during this time of physical distancing? Here is your opportunity!
Join CASA representatives on July 31 at 9 a.m. for Coffee Talk. A virtual information session and the perfect no-obligation opportunity to learn more about CASA and their unique virtual learning opportunity and volunteer experience.
Email jenny@casaok.org for more information.
