Garrison Creek Rodeo Set for July 17-18

The 13th annual Garrison Creek Roundup Riders Rodeo is set for July 17 and 18 in Muldrow.

Professional rodeo announcer Woody Woodruff said that organizers are excited about getting back to some semblance of normal and gearing up for the annual event.

Woodruff, who is also a truck driver, said “it’s good to get back. We’re going to do what we do best and I can’t wait” for the rodeo.

The rodeo will kick off at 6 p.m. nightly with mutton-bustin’ for kids 60 pounds and under. Other rodeo events will follow, including bull-riding, barrel-racing and more. There will also be delicious food for sale on both nights.

On July 18th, Whiskey Revolver will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

“Rodeo is family,” Woodruff said. “We are Americans and we like to have a good time. The rodeo is a good time for everybody to get out and have some fun.”

Tickets for the rodeo are $8 for adults and children under age 5 get in free.

Woodruff urged folks wanting to attend to “prepare for the heat, but when the sun goes down, the fun will begin.”
