Tahlequah Woman Killed in Thursday Accident


A 92-year-old Welling woman was killed in a single vehicle accident Thursday, July 9 at approximately 3:41 p.m.

According to the report filed by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), Mary Hall, 75, of Tahlequah was driving a 2005 Dodge pickup south on Welling Rd., 5 miles east of Tahlequah when the accident occurred. 

Patti Hall, 92, of Welling, a passenger in Mary Hall's vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by Northeast Health Systems EMS from head and trunk internal injuries.

The cause of the accident was listed as under investigation. It was raining at the time and road conditions were listed as wet. 

Mary Hall was wearing a seatbelt but Patti Hall was not. Airbags were deployed.

The OHP was assisted by Northeast Health Systems EMS and Welling Fire Department.
