City of Sallisaw to Pick Up Storm Debris

The City of Sallisaw will begin running “Curbie,” the city’s new trash truck, to pick up tree limbs left behind for the next few weeks. If you have limbs you need removed from your property within the city limits, please call City Hall at (918) 775-6241 to place your name and address on the pickup list. Please note that there is a considerable amount of tree debris, so it may take some time before yours is picked up.

For the next three to four weeks, there will be no charge for Curbie for the removal of limbs caused by the July 11 storm.

Please follow these guidelines to have your limbs picked up:

*This pickup is for tree limbs only

*Please do not allow other debris to be brought to your property. Only call when you have all tree debris curbside.

*Please cut all pieces in 4- to 8-foot lengths

*All piles must contain limbs only. No trash. If the piles contain other debris, it will not be picked up

*Please move tree debris as close to the curb as possible. Do not place in streets, drainage ditches, around water or gas meters, or directly under power lines.

If you choose to haul your limbs to the Sallisaw landfill, City of Sallisaw utility customers are asked to present a Sallisaw utility bill and a driver’s license matching the utility service address. If you do not have any of these, please come to City Hall for a verification form, which will allow you to dispose of tree debris only at no charge. All tree debris taken to the landfill must originate from your service address within the City of Sallisaw.
