Man with Gun Arrested at Gore Motel

A Muskogee man was arrested July 5 and charged with feloniously pointing a firearm. He was also charged with carrying a firearm while under the influence, a misdemeanor.

Michael Allen Flesher, 29, faces up to 10 years in prison on the felony count, and a fine of up to $500 and/or up to six months in prison on the misdemeanor charge.

On July 5, a Gore police officer was dispatched to the Sweet 16 Motel in Gore. Upon his arrival, the officer learned from witnesses that there was an intoxicated man in Room 105 who had pointed a handgun at them.

After placing Flesher in his patrol unit, the officer made contact with a witness who said he had heard a noise outside and saw a gun pointed at everyone.

A female on the scene told the officer she had a dashboard camera that had filmed the entire incident, which she showed him. The video showed Flesher holding a black handgun and waving it in an offensive manner. The camera was seized for evidence. Witness statements were collected, however, the owner of the camera refused to give a statement as to what happened.

Flesher’s bond was set at $8,000 and his case is scheduled on the felony disposition docket for 9 a.m. Sept. 2.
