Changes to the power cost adjustment (PCA) for Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative customers are taking effect this week.
Cookson Hils stated that customers probably have noticed that the PCA has been fairly low for the first half of the year, and because of COVID-19, they made "every attempt to keep this number lower to assist you during this pandemic, and has kept the PCA far below the budget requirement."
But, to remain on target for the 2020 budget, the PCA will now change from .000784 to .0065 effective July 7. For membership on the Pay-As-You-Go program, your bill calculation began reflecting the change in PCA on July 7. Please be aware of this change because it will have an impact on your daily bill calculation.
