Gore’s Back-to-School Bash Coming Up

Gore’s 4th annual Back-to-School Bash is scheduled from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

The event, hosted by Gore School, will be at Ray Fine Park, which is at the intersection of Highways 100/64. There will also be a Fill the Boot drive from 8-9 a.m. the same day.

This is a great opportunity for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade to meet their teachers, play games and get a jump-start on getting their school supplies.

The event will feature a dunk tank, bounce house and an obstacle course, as well as giveaways. Folks can also register for door prizes that will be given away.

Gore’s first day of school is Aug. 22.

Many local businesses and organizations have donated items such as back packs and more.

Organizers are still accepting donations of school supplies. To donate, contact Kim Summerlin at (918) 816-6159. There is also an online supply wish list on Amazon. For more information, visit http://a.co/3FU2aJT
