Sequoyah Manor will be hosting a Halloween Carnival this year in conjunction with Halloween on Elm Street in downtown Sallisaw.
Rhonda Breedlove, the nursing home’s social services director, said the carnival will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oc. 31, and ghosts, goblins, and all the Halloween-costumed kids should enter through the manor’s front door.
“We will have hot dogs and popcorn, and games for the children,” Breedlove said. “We think it’s a great idea. It provides a safe environment.”
Breedlove said the games for kids will include Boo Bowling, Witch Pitch, Ring Toss, the Monster Can Knock Down, and a Clown Throw.
Children will also be able to go on the Treat Walk for candy.
“It’s not a Cake Walk, it’s a Treat Walk,” Breedlove said. “Some of our residents will be passing out candy.”
And no doubt enjoying visiting with the small costumed characters.
