Bunch Man Hospitalized after Crash

A Bunch man was hospitalized in Stilwell Hospital Tuesday after a two-vehicle crash west of Stilwell.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported Harold Knight, 76, suffered internal and external trunk, arm and leg injuries in the crash.

The OHP reported Knight was a passenger in a 2013 Volkswagen driven by Lillian Knight, 70, also of Bunch. She was treated and released at the Stilwell Hospital.

The Knight vehicle was struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jose Vargas-Ramirez, 30, of Fort Smith. He was not injured. The OHP reported there was an odor of alcoholic beverage in the pickup truck.

Vargas-Ramirez was driving west on State Highway 100 when he crossed the center line and struck the Knight Volkswagen, the OHP reported. The cause of the collision was listed as driving too fast for the wet road conditions.

The collision was reported at about 8:53 a.m. Tuesday.
