Police Confiscate Guns, Paraphernalia; Two Charged


The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office investigators and deputies and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers served a search warrant Oct. 4 at a Marble City residence and arrested two of the home’s residents.

Arrested were Mark Bradley Green, 47, and Holly Nichole Strickland, 25. Green was charged Oct. 10 in Sequoyah County District Court with unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm after former felony conviction, and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Strickland was charged Oct. 11 with unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Green’s case was put on the Nov. 11 disposition docket, and he was freed Oct. 11 on a $15,000 bond. Strickland’s case was put on the Nov. 1 docket, and she was released Oct. 11 on a $5,000 bond.

Investigators reported finding multiple smoking devices, scales, plastic bags, used syringes and other items at the Green home. Several items, the report indicates, were tested positive for methamphetamines. Investigators also found three guns - a .22 revolver, a Winchester .22 rifle, and a Savage .22 rifle. Noted in the charges was that Green was convicted of second-degree burglary and grand larceny, and as a felon, is not allowed to possess firearms.
