The Old Sallisaw High School Association is having a committee meeting at 5:30 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Black Diamond Event center.
At the meeting, the panel will finalize plans for “Junkin’ in the Park,” which will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the OSHSA Park, 200 W. Creek, in Sallisaw.
In case of inclement weather, Junkin’ in the Park will take place inside the park’s Black Diamond Event Center.
Crafters and folks wanting to clean out their closets, sheds, garages and more are invited to participate. Several people have already reserved tables for the event, and organizers say there is plenty of room for others.
The cost to participate is $10 per table and people are asked to bring their own tables.
Donations are always welcome. To reserve a space or to make donations, call Jackie Pop at (918) 774-0744, Gary Jackson at (918) 774-2439 or Crystal Hardy at (918) 774-3887.
Concessions will be available to purchase at the event.
All proceeds will help the organization offset utility costs and will allow the group to complete work on the site’s kitchen for reunions.
The group is also accepting donations of items for the upcoming OSHSA yard sale.
