David W. Johnson has not been heard from since Aug. 31.
The family of a Vian man who was last seen Aug. 31 is offering a reward for information leading to his safe return.
David W. Johnson (also known as D.J.), 38, reportedly went to visit his father in Vian on Aug. 31 and was last seen leaving there about 9:30 p.m. that day. He hasn’t been heard from since.
One witness did report seeing Johnson walking on the south end of Vian on the afternoon of Sept. 4.
Vian Police Chief Mark Fisher said Tuesday that the department has received no further tips or leads to follow up on in the case.
Johnson has dark brown hair, is 5’11” tall and weighs about 160-170 pounds. He was last seen wearing faded or light-colored jeans, black Crocs and a white or light gray T-shirt.
Johnson reportedly walks everywhere he goes and is a familiar face in the Vian area.
Johnson’s family and Vian police said Johnson, who turns 39 on Oct. 1, wouldn’t have left without saying anything. “It’s just not in his character to not return home,” Fisher said.
Anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to call the Vian Police Department at (918) 773-5724.
