The Board of Sequoyah County Commissioners approved several items at their weekly meeting Monday.
The panel green-lighted a utility relocation agreement by and between Sequoyah County commissioners and Cookson Hill Electric Cooperative Inc. Steve Carter, the District 2 commissioner, said the measure is a formality regarding the Dwight Mission project.
In other action, District 3 commissioner Jim Rogers announced that an event honoring volunteer firefighters from around the county would be at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at the Sallisaw Fairgrounds. Rogers said the 3rd annual event is a combined effort between county elected officials and the Cherokee Nation.
Commissioners also approved the transfer of appropriations from T2- Maintenance and Operations to the T8-capital outlay for Sequoyah County District 3. They also approved the Fiscal Year 2019 SEFA report.
