The Sequoyah County Board of Commissioners approved several items on the agenda at their weekly meeting Monday.
The commissioners unanimously approved sending a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) out for bids for the Lee Creek Rural Water District. Also getting the green light was a resolution for the county’s road machinery and equipment revolving fund. The fund will be used to purchase equipment necessary for county operations.
The panel also approved financial statements for 2019 from the Sequoyah County treasurer.
Also at the meeting, Steve Rutherford, the county’s Emergency Management Director, said a radio and antenna were donated to the Sallisaw hospital to allow it to communicate with other hospitals around the area in times of disasters or other major events.
