U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) announced on July 4 that he will seek a fourth term.
In his 2012 campaign Mullin said he would only seek to serve three terms, or six years. Now he said, in a video posted on his Mullin for Congress website and on his Facebook page, “But where we’re at today is a different situation.”
Mullin said, “The last thing we want is to make people think we’re going back on our word. That made his difficult.”
Mullin said he and his wife Christie were concerned that his service would adversely affect his family, but his kids are doing well.
Mullin said he thought he may have a greater impact with Republican Donald Trump now president.
“Yes, we can make a difference,” Mullin said.
