Deputies Capture Fleeing Suspects

Three suspects were chased down and arrested Friday morning after Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Deputies served a narcotics search warrant on a residence on North Redland Road.

Undersheriff Greg Cox said the three suspects are Joshua Harold Bagley, 42, David Samuel Welch, 48, and Alesa Rogers, 31. All three suspects are listed as residents of Muldrow.

Cox said investigators confiscated multiple bags of a green, leafy substance and multiple firearms at the home.

However, the three suspects saw the investigators approach the home and fled the residence in a vehicle. They abandoned the vehicle a short time later, and ran on foot. All three were apprehended in a wooded area later Friday morning. They were transported to the Sequoyah County Detention Center in Sallisaw.

All three suspects also had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

Bagley was out on a $6,000 bond on a previous drug arrest. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest on Friday for failure to appear.

Welch had two outstanding warrants, for failure to appear, issued on July 5 and July 6.

Rogers, on March 9, pleaded guilty to previous drug charges and was sentenced to six years deferred. A warrant was issued for her arrest on June 2 for failure to appear and failure to pay. She was free on an $11,000 bond.
