Firstar Bank is collecting school supplies for children who may not have all that is needed.
Donors may drop off supplies at any Firstar Bank. Suggestions include notebooks, crayons, markers, school glue and glue sticks, etc.
Bank employees urge, “Next time you're shopping, pick up a few extra school supplies and help a student start the year off right!”
They note most can be bought for the price of one cup of coffee.
School supply shoppers have already been spotted in local stores, where lists of needed supplies are posted, so it’s not too soon to get started. Sallisaw schools start classes on Aug. 10.
