An arrest warrant was issued April 8 against a Muldrow woman who allegedly tried to flee a Muldrow police officer, a felony.
Ashley Siebert, 29, faces up to a year in prison on the eluding charge. She was also charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended or revoked license. Her bond was set at $5,000.
On April 3, a Muldrow police officer was on patrol when he spotted a white car with Texas tags in the parking lot of Muldrow High School. As the vehicle approached Highway 64, the officer attempted to make a traffic stop, but the suspect vehicle pulled into the Garden Walk Apartments at a high rate of speed.
The officer chased the car onto the grass area to the south but as he pulled in behind the vehicle, the driver and passenger jumped out of the car while it was still in drive. The two ran from the scene.
A quick search of the area turned up a black wallet containing identification for a Dustin Day, while a look inside the car found a pink bag in the driver’s seat containing used needles, one plastic baggie containing a white, crystalline substance, a tin can with white residue inside it and a black cell phone belonging to Day.
Siebert’s identification was also discovered in the vehicle, which was subsequently impounded. Siebert and Day had valid felony warrants for their arrests.
