The Sequoyah County Health Department, in partnership with the county Emergency Management agency and other community partners, will provide “drive-through” COVID-19 testing at the department in Sallisaw from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8.
All testing will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. To make an appointment, call Mandi Collins at (918) 775-7749.
In order to be tested, patients MUST be at least 16 years of age or older, have a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, OR a cough, OR shortness of breath, OR be a direct contact of a confirmed positive COVID-19 case. One person per household will be tested.
Only those with appointments should attend.
Collins urged people to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding safety precautions such as frequent hand-washing and social distancing.
As of Monday morning, the Oklahoma State Health Department reported 1,327 positive COVID-19 test results in the state. That number includes seven cases in Sequoyah County. One Sequoyah County patient has died of the illness.
