Muldrow Man Fails To Register as Sex Offender

A Muldrow man convicted of several past offenses is being sought for failing to register as a sex offender, police reports reveal.

An arrest warrant was issued April 15 for Anthony Shane Lockhart, 45, on the felony count, which is punishable by up to five years in prison, a fine of up to $5,000 or both.

On March 5, a Sequoyah County Sheriff’s deputy went to a home at 105804 E. 1060 Road to perform a visit after the department received a tip that Lockhart no longer lived at that address.

Once at the home, the deputy spoke with Lockhart’s brother-in-law, who said Lockhart had not lived at that home since October 2019 when he was kicked out of the house because of the strain it was putting on his family. The brother-in-law said he believed Lockhart is currently living in Fort Smith, Ark.

Lockhart’s bond was set at $10,000.

He was convicted in 2017 of unlawfully using a computer network for obtaining money and convicted in 2014 of failure to comply with sex offender registration.
