The Sequoyah County Election board has released the candidate filings for county offices.
Filing for Sequoyah County Court Clerk were Incumbent Vicki Beaty, a Democrat, and Republicans Gina Cox and Shaloa Dean Edwards.
Four Republicans filed to run for Sequoyah County Sheriff, including Incumbent Sheriff Larry Lane, former Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart, Eric Cope and James Linduff who has withdrawn from the race.
Republican Julie Haywood was the only candidate to file for her County Clerk position.
The race for District 2 County Commissioner is shaping up as a battle between the incumbent, Democrat Steve Carter, and Republicans Christopher Jay Alred, Beau Burlison and Michael Leonard Cobb.
On the state level Jim Olsen is unopposed for State Representative, District 2.
