State Highway 10A will be the subject of an open meeting Jan. 31 at the Gore Community building in the Steve Owens Sports Complex in Gore. The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) is hosting the open house meeting to present information and gather public input on a proposed project to improve State Highway 10A between State Highway 10 and State Highway 100 near Paradise Hill in Sequoyah and Muskogee counties.
ODOT said in a press release that this section of SH-10A has sharp curves, steep slopes and no paved shoulders. To improve the highway, ODOT is evaluating multiple alternatives and will use input from the public to design a future construction project, which is currently scheduled to go to bid in Federal Fiscal Year 2021.
While no formal presentation is scheduled, members of the public can come anytime during this open house meeting to watch a short video, view plans of the proposed improvements, speak with engineers and planners and give input on the proposed project. All project materials will also be made available online following the meeting at www.odot.org/publicmeetings.
