Free@. . .Your Library:Library Programs Can Warm Up Winter

Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library in Sallisaw can warm up winter for you, with numerous good books to read and good programs to attend.

To keep preschoolers busy this month, the library offers Storytime hours at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday. Children get to hear a good book and participate in fun activities.

On Jan. 10 the library will offer a special program. The Oklahoma City Zoo will present The Mitten at 4 p.m. on Jan. 10. The library staff urges parents to bring preschoolers to the library for this fun event with live animals, and learn how animals stay warm and enjoy hearing a great story.

The library offers fun events for everyone. Teens are introduced to fun things to do at 4 p.m. every Thursday, and adults get a treat at noon on the third Wednesday of every month at the monthly book review and free lunch.

A special program, Learning about Apps, may interest everyone when held at 4 p.m. Jan. 30.

Author Honey Reece will be available from 10 a.m. until noon on Jan. 28 to sign copies of her book, “Inti, the Very Helpful Llama.”

For information on library programs, call the library at 918-775-4481.
