Police Seek Sallisaw Pair After Car Theft

An arrest warrant was issued Jan. 20 for two Sallisaw residents accused of stealing a vehicle, court records indicate.

Cassie Dawn Kioski Webster, 36, and Jeffrey Todd Gentry, 53, face up to two years in prison on the felony charge. No bond was set for either.

On Jan. 7, a Sallisaw police lieutenant was dispatched to a Sallisaw residence to speak with a male in reference to a break-in at his house, during which someone stole his truck, trailer and New Holland tractor. The missing items were valued at about $25,000.

At 1:14 a.m. on Jan. 19, Sallisaw police spotted the stolen maroon 1998 Chevrolet GC1 pickup leaving the EZ-Mart store without working tail lights. The vehicle eluded officers, who had activated their emergency equipment. They eventually located the vehicle, abandoned, at Badger Lee Road, just west of J.T. Stites Boulevard.

Security footage of the truck at the Cherokee Casino taken at 12:20 a.m. revealed that Gentry was driving the truck and Webster was a passenger.
