Escaped Inmate Back in Custody

An inmate that escaped from the Sequoyah County Detention Center on Monday is now back in custody.

According to Sequoyah County Sheriff Larry Lane, James Paul Cripps is back in custody and being held by the Fort Smith Police Department. 

Cripps was considered potentially dangerous. He was being held on charges of first-degree burglary, domestic violence, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and destruction of property.
