Winter in January means time for eagle watching! Grab the binoculars and head to the Sequoyah Wildlife Refuge, south of Vian, for eagle watching caravans.
Because of social distancing concerns, this year’s eagle watching event will be a caravan tour with the guide broadcasting through your car’s FM radio so guests can safely enjoy the tour. There will be several points to view eagle nests, where guests will be required to wear a mask, bring sanitizing wipes for their hands and practice social distancing while waiting for a turn at the scope.
The tours will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the last two Saturdays of January, every Saturday in February and the first Saturday of March. Each eagle tour will be limited to 15 cars.
