On Monday night, Jan. 25, at 6:30 p.m. Sallisaw voters will have the opportunity to hear from candidates vying for Sallisaw Board of City Commissioner positions.
KXMX and the Sequoyah County Times will host a forum for candidates seeking Ward 2 and Ward 4 seats.
The forum will be begin at 6:30 p.m. at the People Inc. Conference Center in Sallisaw. Marley Abell will serve as forum moderator.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the public will not be allowed to attend but the forum will be broadcast live on MixTV Channel 19 and the Mix 105.1 Facebook page.
Each candidate will be allowed two guests in the audience.
Candidates for the February 9 election are Ward 2 - Phillip Gay (Incumbent) and Josh Bailey and Ward 4 - Shannon Vann (Incumbent) and Kristin Coleman-Peerson.
The forum will begin with opening statements from each candidate followed by a question and answer session.
All four candidates have agreed to participate in the forum.
