An arrest warrant was issued Feb. 4 for a Sallisaw man accused of harboring a fugitive from justice.
On Jan. 16, a Sequoyah County Sheriff’s deputy went to the Sallisaw home of Gary Lee Real, 40, after receiving information that a man named Damon Glass was living in a building behind that residence. Glass has an outstanding felony warrant in Sequoyah County.
Real told the deputy that he hadn’t seen Glass in months. When told he would face charges if he was hiding the man, Real continued to deny that he lived there, but on Jan. 21, Glass was arrested on Real’s property.
Bond was set at $5,000. The punishment for harboring a fugitive from justice is up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
