Students Donate Books

Carl Albert State College (CASC) students in Sallisaw and Poteau collected books to assist Cameron School, which was recently badly damaged in a fire, and presented the books to school representatives.

From the left are Cameron senior Megan Gavina, Cameron sophomore Bethany Emerson, Cameron Reading and English Teacher Samantha Naylor, Cameron senior Amber Moss, Cameron Librarian Shannon Barnes, CASC Director of Libraries Terri Carroll, and CASC Reference and Circulation Librarian Tonya Sutton.

Carroll said, “We set up collection points at both Poteau and Sallisaw campuses to collect books to donate to Cameron School following the fire there. We had a good response, and we were able to provide a variety of books for Cameron students from elementary up to high school.”
