The 8th annual, and very popular, Taste of Sallisaw Fall Fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Sequoyah County will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the new Sallisaw Middle School cafeteria.
Noreen Reininger, the club's chief professional officer, said this is the only public fundraiser for the club. A spring fundraiser solicits money from area businesses.
Reininger said the restaurants and food providers which have signed up so far are The Bake Shoppe, Charlie's Chicken, Geno's Pizza/Taco Pronto, Firstar Bank, Maria's Mexican Food, Mazzio's, Sallisaw Public Schools, Shad's Catfish Hole, Western' Sizzlin' and Wild Horse Mountain BBQ.
Many items will be up for bidding during our silent and live auction too," Reininger said.
So far the list includes a Scentsy basket, insulated tote, Parents Pride plaque, a movie theme basket, Yeti Cooler, Scentsy Triceratops, a Fall Cookie Jar, Pitcher, Coffee Cups and a Ramekin set, Hunters Box of Goodies, a wild game camera, a trunk with fall decor, an OU Ensemble, Teachers School Supply Basket, Students School Supply Basket, Crafters Supply Basket, ratchet & socket set, an emergency road set, Coca Cola cooler with goodies, a 50-inch flat screen TV and much more.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
"Come on down and get samples from many of our local restaurants and support your local Boys & Girls Club!" Reininger encouraged.
