Brad Hamilton is one of the IT specialists at Sallisaw's DiamondNet and gets the KXMX Pat on the Back this month.
Dandra Randolph, DiamondNet Customer Service supervisor, explained why Hamilton deserves a pat on the back.
"I received a phone call from a legally-blind man in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He had a new computer and wanted to hook it up to his television so he could see it better," Randolph related. She found out later why the man called DiamondNet, far away from Mississippi in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
"Some of the wiring he used had the word Diamond as part of its brand name," she said. He apparently searched for Diamond and found DiamondNet's phone number.
"He started asking me how to do it, so I hooked him up with our tech guy, Brad. He talked to the man and got him completely fixed up," Randolph said. "He talked to him twice."
Randolph said Hamilton went far beyond what his job requires.
"He did the guy such a tremendous favor and it wasn't his job," Randolph said. "That man called us back and thanked us profusely. We are so proud of Brad."
So give a Pat on the Back to Brad Hamilton, DiamondNet's information technology guy for going out of his way to help another.
(Editor's Note: Brad Hamilton is so modest, he would not let his photo be taken to accompany this story but he still deserves a Pat on the Back.)
