Waycaster Arrested for Meth Possession

A Muldrow man was arrested Oct. 28 and charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled drug with the intent to distribute.

Ronald Dean Waycaster, 56, faces up to five years in the Department of Corrections and a fine of up to $20,000 on the felony charge.

On Oct. 28, a Sequoyah County Sheriff’s investigator executed a state search warrant at the residence of Vincent Marr. During the search, the investigator came across a blue and white travel trailer.

Deputies knocked on the door to the trailer and were greeted by Waycaster, who was then detained. After the search he was returned to the trailer. When asked if he used methamphetamine, Waycaster said he did and gave deputies permission to search the trailer.

During the search, deputies discovered a black leather bag containing three small, white plastic baggies with a white, crystalline substance inside. Waycaster was then arrested.
