The holidays can be a difficult time of year for children in foster care. Without a permanent family, children can be deprived of the types of precious memories and childhood experiences that can make the holiday season so warm and special. There is hope. CASA volunteers play an important role in the lives of foster children. Volunteers work hard to develop a trusting relationship with the children they serve and advocate directly to the courts representing the children’s best interests.
This holiday season you can help increase awareness and support for the CASA program by inviting your friends and family to get involved. Like and share the CASA for Children Facebook and Instagram pages, launch your own online fundraising campaign or host an online fundraiser through Facebook.
Every dollar you raise and every person you tell will help CASA recruit more volunteers and serve more children in need.
Ever wonder how you could make more of a difference in the lives of our community’s most vulnerable children? Becoming a CASA volunteer is one of the most rewarding and valuable experiences you could ever have. For more information you can join an online meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m.
This is the perfect no-obligation opportunity to talk with CASA staff about what it means to be a CASA volunteer. For more information, go to www.casaok.org.
The holidays are a great time to think about ways to give back. You can join CASA for Children’s first-ever Virtual Holiday Toy Drive and provide a little cheer to children in foster care. Their goal is to collect 100 $30 gift cards by Dec 4.
How can you help? Donate to the toy drive today. Purchase and mail or email a $30 Target gift card or $30 Walmart gift card.
Mail to: CASA for Children | PO Box 1274 | Muskogee, OK 74402.
