Cpl. Joshua J. Ware Marine Corps League Detachment 1403 will be holding a turkey shoot to benefit this year's Toys for Tots Program for local children.
The shooting will start at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 and run to 3 p.m. at 466779 E. 1070 Road in Sallisaw, on the southwest corner of the Iron Post Smoke Shop and Central Fire Station. There will be signs out along the way.
The shoot will only cost $3 per shot with either your shotgun or one belonging to the detachment, which will also supply the shotgun shells. Only 10 shooters will be allowed to shoot at a time and if there aren't enough shooters, the shoot will be cancelled.
Shooters will have the chance to win prizes, including a turkey or ham.
Range safety is of the upmost importance to the detachment. Only children with a gun safety card will be able to shoot.
