An arrest warrant was issued Oct. 28 for a Sallisaw man accused of taking a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, court records show.
Jason A. Enkoff, 44, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, a felony punishable by imprisonment in the Department of Corrections for two years. His bond was set at $2,500.
On Sept. 7, a Sallisaw police officer was asked by dispatch to take a walk-in report of an unauthorized use of a vehicle. Upon arrival the officer met with the victim who was previously in a relationship with the suspect, Enkoff.
The female said Enkoff was currently homeless and she had been letting him sleep in her truck in the back yard. She said that on Sept. 5 he left in the truck and had not returned. She said she believed Enkoff was traveling to Arkansas and she had no contact with him because his phone only worked if he had a Wi-Fi signal.
