The Board of Commissioners for Sequoyah County awarded a bid for the purchase of an air boat for the McKey Fire Department at their weekly meeting Monday.
The commissioners also approved a lease-purchase agreement between Welch State Bank and Sequoyah County on behalf of the Gans Fire Department.
The commissioners also approved the disposal of surplus equipment by the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office.
During the meeting District 2 County Commissioner Steve Carter also took time to congratulate the winners of Tuesday's election.
