Toys for Tots Store Expands Business Hours

The 2020 Toys for Tots store, at the intersection of Oklahoma State Highway 59 North and Highway 101 in the old Sparks Convenience Store building, has altered its hours of operation for the coming Christmas season.

Starting Wednesday, Nov. 18, the store will be open from 1-5 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and from 1-7 p.m. on Mondays through Dec. 22.

Families will be allowed inside the store one at a time. There will be a sign-up sheet on the door for others, who will wait in their cars for their turn. Masks are required and hand sanitizer will be available. Parents must provide proof that each child lives with them, such as a DHS card, Social Security card, birth certificate, court order showing guardianship or a Soonercare card and the parent must show that they live in this area.

Jackie Plank, adjutant/paymaster with the Cpl. Joshua J. Ware Marine Corps League, urged folks in need to visit toysfortots.org to fill out an application. Click on “Oklahoma,” then click on “Sequoyah County,” even if you live in another county.
