Vian Man Sentenced in U.S. Court


The U.S. Attorney’s Office n Muskogee announced Thursday that Christopher Jordan Lee Foreman, 22, of Vian was sentenced to 57 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for possession of stolen firearms, which is punishable by not more than 10 years of imprisonment, up to a $250,000 fine or both.

The Indictment alleged that on Aug. 29, 2015, Foreman possessed stolen firearms, all of which had been shipped and transported in interstate commerce either before or after being stolen.

The charges arose from an investigation by the Sallisaw Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. 

District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing. Foreman will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending transportation to the designated federal facility at which he will serve his nonparolable sentence.
