TV personality David Blanton will be the guest speaker at the Big Basin Outdoor
Festival Oct.15 at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds in Sallisaw.
The Big Basin Outdoor Festival, sponsored by Tom Stites & Associates LLC and others, will feature TV personality David Blanton and will be held Oct. 15 at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds in Sallisaw.
The festival will include a variety of workshops and information on hunting, contests, door prizes and a barbecue, all of which will take place from 2 to 5 p.m.
A hunting tactics workshop will include information on deer calling and rattling, stand placement and more. A hunting lease and land owners exchange booth will be available, along with a Take-A-Kid-Hunting Booth where adults may sign up to mentor a future outdoorsman.
Contests will be held for kids BB gun and kids archery shooting, along with a best mount contest and Judge the Bucks Age & Score contests for all ages.
Attendees may also have their photo taken with their mount and the guest speaker, David Blanton. Blanton is executive producer and host of Realtree Outdoors and Realtree RoadTrips on Outdoor Channel and Monster Bucks TV on Sportsman’s Channel. He also oversees the production of the best-selling deer hunting DVDs, Monster Bucks.
