A 52-year-old Muldrow High School teacher was arrested Friday on an allegation of enabling child abuse by injury.
Julie Boshers, a teacher at Muldrow School for 10 years, was arrested and booked into the county jail on a $2,500 bond.
The investigation, by the Muldrow Schools Campus Police and the Muldrow Police, alleges Boshers knew two high school boys were involved in a fight on Sept. 29.
According to the Muldrow Police report, by Officer Mark Harkins, Mrs. Boshers knew before the altercation that it was going to occur. She followed the two male students, along with several other students, outside where the altercation occurred and watched the fight without calling for assistance or intervening until a student stepped in and stopped the fight.
The Muldrow Police press release reports, “It was found that there was possibly school policy violation and maybe criminal violations of Oklahoma State Law by a teacher.”
The formal charge against Boshers was filed Friday in Sequoyah County District Court, Sallisaw, the same day the arrest warrant was issued.
