A former doctor at the Wellness Clinic in Roland has lost his Oklahoma license to prescribe drugs. The ruling against Dr. Ronald V. Myers, Sr. was issued Thursday, and takes effect May 2. Oklahoma Watch posted the order and summary of a hearing held Jan. 21, 22 and 23 by the OBNDD. The order canceling Myers' license said he had issued 44,850 CDS prescriptions between Jan. 1, 2013, and June 2014, which were for 4,618,264 dosage units (pills). A $25,000 administrative fine was also levied against Myers, and he cannot reapply for a license for a year and until the fine is paid. Contacted by Oklahoma Watch, Myers said he had no intention of practicing in Oklahoma again, and accused the state of discrimination.
