It's time to lace up the athletic shoes and play DodgeBrawl for the Sallisaw High School senior class. A Community DodgeBrawl Tournament is planned for 6 p.m. April 28 at the high school gym. Anyone who remembers dodgeball in elementary school may remember the thrill and excitement of this type of ballgame, and return to those years of innocence by participating. The tournament is open to community groups, including corporate teams, church groups, police and fire departments and custom teams. Players must be age 18 or older. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place, and an additional prize will be awarded for the most creative uniforms. The entry fee is $25 per team and teams may have a maximum of 12 players. Six players are allowed on the court per round. The entry deadline is April 22. The registration, with a roster and full payment may be sent to or dropped off at Sallisaw High School, ATTN: Ernie Martens, 2301 W. Ruth, Sallisaw, OK 74955, or may be submitted to emartens@sallisaw.k12.ok.us.
Admission to the tournament is $5 for adults and $3 for students. All proceeds will benefit the SHS senior class.
