Contract Awarded for More I-40 Rehab

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) awarded a project last week for more improvements to Interstate 40, this time from Dwight Mission Road to Vian. Cody Boyd of ODOT Media and Public Relations, said the project is a concrete pavement rehabilitation on about 5.6 miles of I-40. The commission awarded a $675,594 contract for the project to Tri-Star Construction Arkansas, LLC. Once started, the work will take about four months to complete.

Boyd said, "ODOT will be marking sections of damaged concrete in that area and the contractor will be patching the damaged sections with new pavement. There will be short term intermittent lane closures, which we will announce before the work starts.

"This is part of ODOTs effort to preserve and prolong the useful life of our pavements," Boyd said.
