The Oklahoma Board of Nursing announced that Carl Albert State College (CASC) nursing students attained a 100 percent pass rate on the First-Time NCLEX-RN Candidate Exam.
Abbie Bailey, CASC Nursing Program director, said, "Twenty-five students from the Poteau campus and 8 from the Sallisaw campus took and passed the exam on their first try. For the class of 2014 students taking the test, the national average was 81.79 percent and the Oklahoma average was 83.55 percent. We are very proud of the accomplishments of the Carl Albert State College students." Bailey concluded, "We were one of only six programs in the state with a 100 percent pass rate on this national exam. This isn't the first time our students made the 100 percent pass rate on this national exam. We have accomplished this mark several times over the past years, and I believe this speaks volumes for the preparation level of our students as they complete our nursing program."
