ODOT Repairs Cause Short Traffic Congestion

Drivers may want to avoid south U.S. Highway 59 out of Sallisaw Thursday, as the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) repaves the highway coming off the eastbound exit from Interstate 40 on Sallisaw's west side. Mickie Bennett, ODOT area maintenance manager, said the work is expected to be completed on Thursday. He explained ODOT was repairing pavement "failure" at the exit, and it is causing short traffic congestion. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
