A double-fatality collision killed two truck drivers Wednesday west of Spiro. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported the drivers were Donald Sharp, 58, of Fort Smith and Kelvin Hudson, 47, of Keota. Both died at the scene when the two trucks hit head on. The crash occurred at 10:26 a.m. four miles west of Spiro on U.S. Highway 59. The OHP reported Sharp was going west and Hudson was driving east. Sharp was slowing down to make a turn, went left of center and hit Hudson's truck. Both vehicles caught fire. Sharp was pinned for about three hours and was freed by the Spiro and Panama Fire Department. The OHP reported the highway was closed because of the crash from 10:25 a.m. to 5:34 p.m. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
